STUDD adult advisors help youth to develop new skills while fostering civic participation. Advisors communicate to youth that their opinions matter, and that they have stake in the community. STUDD is known to be a group of teens that are leading the community in the direction of building a safer and healthier community by reducing underage drinking and drug use…
STUDD activities engage youth in positive interactions with their peers in safe environments. Programs and activities focus on growing personal skills and competencies. Small groups of teens interact with community leaders who lend their talents, skills and expertise. Health and wellness programs encourage youth to make good choices for their future through physical activity and proper nutrition.
STUDD believes in treating youth with respect, providing them with positive choices, and empowering them to address the issues affecting their lives.
The most recent and rising epidemic is prescription drug abuse. Kids are getting these highly addictive drugs from their own medicine cabinets.
Surveys show that marijuana use is increasing among our youth, due in part, to the misconception that marijuana is not harmful to their health.
Alcohol is the number one substance abused by youth. In fact, more teens die as a result of alcohol use than all other illegal drugs combined. The average age of a child’s first drink is 12. Research shows that youth who begin drinking alcohol before age 15 are five times more likely to become alcohol dependent than those who begin at or after age 21.
We are a big community that worships God with all our heart, soul, mind, strength and big love.
All the books of the Old and New Testaments, given by divine inspiration, are the written Word of God.
God, by His Word and for His glory, freely created the world from nothing and made us in His own image.
Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people.
