Students with a Mission
STUD—which stands for Stop Tigard Underage Drinking—is an amazing group of Tigard High School students dedicated to keeping all underage kids drug and alcohol free. In three years, this group has grown to over 200 students. Members agree to remain drug and alcohol free themselves while promoting their message of prevention.
STUD members have partnered with law enforcement, the school district, and other community leaders in hosting town halls and other community events. They’ve promoted their prevention message through media campaigns in the schools and the community. Working with the school district, STUD has provided alcohol- and drug-free fun events for Tigard youth to attend.

Tigard High is now Red Ribbon certified! Due to STUD’s commitment to improving school environment, parent engagement and academic performance, Tigard High School was awarded the Red Ribbon Certification for 2011-2014!
To help keep potentially dangerous drugs out of kids’ hands, the Tigard Police Dept. hosts Prescription Drug Turn-Ins twice a year. Unwanted prescription and non-prescription medications are collected for safe disposal. Next event is on April 28th.
